Michael Ruggiero, the owner of and instructor for Proficient Driving Instruction has 20 years experience as a corporate safety trainer for fleet drivers and 9 years as an instructor of advanced and defensive driving for police and first responders. Having loved the sport of auto racing and having raced in many different venues, Michael is a trainer and coach for drivers on the race track, too. He has worked for organizations such as Sports Car Driving Association, Sports Car Club of New Hampshire, and Petty Enterprises Exotic Driving and Race Car Driving Experiences. Eight years ago Michael turned his love of instructing to drivers education. He completed the education and training required by the State of New Hampshire and has full certification as a drivers education instructor.
Michael believes the foundation for a lifetime of enjoyable, safe driving comes from a partnership between drivers education, parents and students. At Proficient Driving Instruction, smaller class sizes are offered for a more personalized driver education experience, and parents and guardians are encouraged to become an active part of their students education.
In addition to driver education Proficient Driving Instruction offers corporate training programs tailored to a company's specific needs. Michael enjoys being able to bring the knowledge and experience gained with larger corporations to smaller companies and their employees. Learning never stops, no matter your age or experience. Roadway safety is important for all drivers especially those who drive as part of their employment.
Michael is a strong advocate and a lead instructor for a program of advanced driving skills, more commonly known as SKID SCHOOL. It is a program where licensed drivers of all ages can take their driving experience to the next level and learn better car control and defensive driving skills.
